Magnetic Components
Magnetic Components
-One of the components of power electronics technology
Magnetic components are usually composed of windings and magnetic cores. They are necessary power electronic devices for energy storage, energy conversion and electrical isolation. They mainly include transformers and inductors. Magnetic components are indispensable in almost all power circuits. Magnetic components are one of the most important components of power electronics technology.
Applications
Although magnetic components such as electronic transformers and inductors are just seemingly inconspicuous small parts, they play an indispensable role in new energy vehicles, LED power supplies, photovoltaic inverters and other products. Generally speaking, electronic transformers play the role of voltage transformation, filtering, and energy storage in products, while inductors solve EMI problems, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.
Electric Vehicles(EV)
In new energy vehicles, magnetic components such as electronic transformers and inductors are mainly used in the automotive electronics. Compared with traditional automotive electronics, new energy automotive electronics uses more electronic transformers, inductors and other magnetic components than traditional ones, because traditional vehicles do not use high-voltage components except for multimedia and high-frequency signal processing. Frequency capacitors, inductors, or similar frequency increasing devices.
New energy automotive electronics require magnetic components to pass experimental tests such as anti-interference, static electricity, durability, high and low temperature, vibration, and EMC (tests related to automotive electronic components). EMC will clarify the requirements for space, quality, size, etc. of magnetic components, and the specific parameters and power range depend on the EMC compliance level of the product.
Drive power
The magnetic components required for LED driving power supply mainly include transformers, common mode inductors, power inductors, etc. These components have higher quality requirements than traditional power supplies because LED lamps require higher temperatures than ordinary lamps. The transformer plays the role of voltage transformation in the power supply, and the inductor solves EMI problems, so magnetic components are very important, and their basic usage accounts for between 1/4 and 1/5 of the entire power supply.
LED driving power supplies require electronic transformers, inductors and other magnetic components to be small in size, have good performance, high stability and low losses. The key to magnetic components such as electronic transformers and inductors is to optimize the magnetic core and improve the density, parameters and other requirements of the magnetic core.
Photovoltaic inverter
Inverters play an important role in solar photovoltaic power generation systems, and magnetic components are the basic components of inverters. Electronic transformers are used in the inverter to control power supply and grid connection, as well as sensors and other related magnetic components. The use of these magnetic components in photovoltaic inverters will reach about 20%. They are mainly used in inverters to perform functions such as filtering, voltage transformation, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.
Photovoltaic inverters have requirements for the conversion efficiency, volume, weight, and cost of magnetic components. The performance of heat generation and loss is also very important.
As a manufacturer, components are required to achieve high efficiency, low loss, low noise, long life, insulation and voltage resistance, etc., and the size should be as small as possible. As a user, you hope that the lower the cost, the better, and the higher the efficiency, the better. If my country's magnetic component manufacturers want to produce better products, first, they must work hard on technical theoretical research, new material application, design level, etc.; second, they must strengthen process aspects, including product consistency and stability.
Magnetic component losses
Usually magnetic components mainly play the roles of transformers, coupled inductors and inductors in power converters. The loss of magnetic components mainly consists of two parts: magnetic loss (also called iron loss, which refers to the loss of the magnetic core material) and copper loss (which refers to the loss caused by the flow of current in the coil).
